On July 1, 2022,  judges, finalists partners and friends came together to celebrate the finalists - and the winners - for the 8th Art and Olfaction Awards. It all took place at the World Perfumery Congress in Miami, Florida.

On April 22, 2022, we shared the finalists for the 8th Art and Olfaction Awards in an online announcement of the shortlisted projects and perfumes in three categories: artisan, independent, and the Sadakichi Award.

Judging

The judging for the 8th awards took place from December 2021 to March 2022, in person at the IAO in the preliminary round, and remotely in the finalist round. The judging was blind in the artisan and independent categories, as well as in the Aftel Award for Handmade Perfume. Submissions were tracked by a number, and accompanied only by an anonymized creative brief.
