Andreas Keller
Andreas Keller has a background in academia, where for the last twenty years he investigated different aspects of olfactory perception and has taught smell to philosophy students at City College and to architecture students at Columbia University. He holds PhDs in both neuroscience and philosophy and is interested in cross-disciplinary approaches of understanding perception. He is the author of Philosophy of Olfactory Perception, an exploration of the differences between seeing and smelling.
In early 2021 Andreas opened Olfactory Art Keller, a gallery dedicated to odorous art, in New York's Chinatown. Olfactory Art Keller is an experimental space in which art that engages with non-visual perception can be experienced.
